[Ldsoss] Query re Program to Determine Speed/Bandwidth

tnx im not computer dumb i always installed my DSL and
Cable connections so i get that far but there is always
plenty more i can learn
while it isnt set up for wireless yet i have an actiontec
modem/wireless router which im now have connected
to is one LAN cable port although i dont have a wireless
card i have a USB wireless adapter im wondering if maybe
it would make a difference if i tried to used the wireless
router which would eliminate any line noise issue from
the modem to my LAN card
can RAM or processor speed make a difference in my
download bandwidth?
