[Ldsoss] Shut-ins and the Sacrament Meeting

Some comments:

(1) Some time ago when I was living in Utah Valley there was a program
on the KBYU channel that was a broadcast of some ward's sacrament
meeting talks. I saw it a few times when I felt under the weather and
stayed home from church. Looking at the KBYU schedule on-line it looks
like they still may still have this program (look for "Worship Service"
at 9:30am on Sundays). Also, this seems to be on BYUTV for those who
don't get KBYU but have BYUTV on their satellite or cable service. So
you could refer your "shut-ins" to this broadcast if they have access.

(2) I don't believe there is anything in the church handbook about
making audio (and audio only) recordings of sacrament talks. I recall
there is something about making video recordings and taking pictures in
the chapel. Therefore, it may be make "podcasts" of the sacrament talks
but I would definitely check with your bishop first. I am not a bishop
nor play one on TV.

(3) Your Aaronic priesthood should already be engaged in taking the
sacrament to these "shut-ins". I also have them take a copy of our
ward bulletin so they can read the announcements and other information.

Happy Holidays,

-stacey.
