Hello,

We are getting ready to release 3 additional languages for the Internet
version of the Scriptures. We need your help! Please visit
http://scriptures.rosenvall.com to test this latest version out. This
version should be the exact same as what is on the
http://scriptures.lds.org site with the exception of the following:

   1. We have added 3 new languages. German, French and Italian. If
you know any of these languages or know of anyone that does, have
them check out the site and provide us feedback.
   2. We have added a new "Chapter Margins" option that allows you to
specify how much of a margin you would like around the individual
chapters. This should be available in all languages.

As you can tell, we really have not added a lot of features or
functionality. Mostly what we need you to help us test is the
translations. We do know of several bugs that are in this version that
we DO NOT want you to report. Please review this list before reporting
bugs.

    * On the search page, the alt-text (hover text) for the topic search
and study help search is not translated into German, French, and
      Italian
    * If you type in an invalid address, you may get the "URL not found"
      message that is not translated.
    * If you "mark" more than 75 scriptures, the you get a warning that
says you can only mark "50" scriptures. You can mark 75 but the
text has not been changed. This applies to German & French.
    * The German copy right notice shows "&copy" instead of the correct
      copyright symbol.
    * "The Scriptures" at the top of the page on the left in the blue,
next to the scriptures icon is not translated for Italian.
    * Map legends at the bottom of main bible maps have missing images
      for German, Italian and French.
    * On the word search screen, the "Search In" drop down contains
"Scriptures and Study Helps" in English vs the native language.
This bug applies to German only.
    * The abbreviations file is not translated in German. (found at
      http://scriptures.rosenvall.com/de/scriptures/text/abbreviations.html)
    * If you go to a language other than English and perform a search
and then click on the study helps page, the "Clear Search" link
appears in English. This only happens in German.
    * Breadcrumb symbols do not appear correctly in IE 7.0. They show
      up as boxes.
    * The Audio links to the Joseph Smith History do not work. - All
      languages.

Please report other bugs directly to me or to this mailing list. Also,
please share this email with anyone you think would like to help with
this beta.

On a final note, we would like to express our gratitude to David
Rosenvall and his team of people for working on this new version of the
Scriptures. He has generously and graciously offered his talents and
equipment to the development of all version of the Internet version of
the scriptures.

Thanks for your help.

Tom
