LDSwebguy references the Church CIO's website (http://www.ldscio.org/). On
it he goes into a discussion regarding OSS. It seems to be a level-headed
approach. I regularly use OSS in some form or another, however, I've found
that the problems he's encountered are valid.
On another note, we've discussed using scripting languages for various
production systems. Others have mentioned using Java for various reasons.
(I'm in the last camp.) Java 6.0 has an integrated scripting engine that
apparently allows you to use scripting code within your Java code.
(http://java.sun.com/javase/6/) Have any of you used it? Without having
used it, it sounds like a neat way to integrate both worlds.
